How we make money

A dealer is never charged to list a vehicle on CarMia, and there is no payment that makes a listing more visible than any other. Listing, appearing in search and being contacted by a buyer are free for every dealer, paying or not.

Dealers can choose to pay for optional tools: stock management, listing preparation, enquiry handling and reporting. Those subscriptions buy working software, nothing else. A dealer who pays for none of them is shown to buyers on exactly the same terms as a dealer who pays for all of them.

Paying CarMia cannot move a listing up or down in search results, place it in the homepage selection, add or alter a badge, change a verification status, or change how confident a check is described as being.

Payment also cannot change official evidence, remove an adverse fact, or convert an unavailable check into a pass. Commercial fields such as subscription status and dealer plan are excluded from the ranking contract and from the homepage candidate input, and automated tests fail the build if that changes. The ranking policy page lists the inputs we do use.

You deal with the seller directly. CarMia is not a party to the vehicle sale, does not add a marketplace commission to the displayed drive-away price and does not receive a percentage of the transaction.
