Search ranking inputs
Search uses the buyer's query and eligible public listing facts such as price, mileage, location, vehicle specification, evidence quality and freshness. A missing fact remains missing rather than receiving a guessed value.
Commercial boundary
Sponsorship, promotion, subscription status and dealer plan fields are excluded from the ranking contract. Automated tests fail if a commercial field is added to the homepage candidate input.
Homepage selection
The five roles use price bands, fuel type, freshness, photo coverage and confirmed evidence. One listing, dealer or make-and-model cannot occupy multiple slots in the same selection. If a role has no qualifying car, it stays empty rather than accepting a paid or unverified substitute.
